Are We There Yet ?
August 12, 2010
Looking at the frost outside yesterday morning, we are not there yet. No, winter is not over. But when I walk by the beautiful magnolia in the Botanic Garden, I dream about Spring… And I know now it’s on the way. Soon !
The past days have been so pleasant…
Paprika and I caught the shuttle to Matiu-Somes island under a peaceful blue sky on Sunday. And I walked up on the skyline at the beginning of the week to enjoy the view over Cook strait with Kaikoura ranges snow-capped.
Maybe I should have titled this post magnolia for ever…

*Those colors seem too good to be true. Just another reason to visit New Zealand some day. You should work for the tourism office! Cheers, *Heather** heather

Rosa, thank you ! Shaz, I know we feel the same on each side of the Tasman sea ;) Piggy, thank you ! Heather, you are too sweet. NZ could be a nice honey moon destination ;) MyCookingHut, don’t forget the scorching heat you’ve got this Summer. But I know you are like me and can’t get enough of sun and warm ! Vanille
How beautiful… I must go walk in the Botanic Gardens more often! I used to go there regularly when I lived in Kelburn but these days it’s a rare occasion. And I can’t wait for spring either :) Millie@Gusty Gourmet
Glorious magnolias Vanille! well, at least the sky looks really blue, my husband was there two days ago and he told me that the weather was good! Alessandra
Those blossoms are sooooo gorgeous. It may be winter where you are and summer where I am, but it sure feels like fall here already. We’ve had a strange summer that’s been quite cool. So I can empathize with your longing for a little more of that toasty sunshine. Carolyn Jung
