Dans le Jardin

Last year at the same time, I noticed this majestic magnolia and I was fascinated by its beautiful bloom. This year again, when I saw the very first flowers, I knew I would go to the Botanic Garden. I’m totally under the spell of this tree…

Winter is not over yet and there is already so many flowers showing there. So many colour and shape; it’s growing all around !

And please don’t ask me to name them -apart from the magnolia and the rhododendron- I have no idea…

L’an dernier à la même période, j’avais remarqué ce majestueux magnolia et j’ai été fascinée par la beauté de sa floraison. Cette année encore, lorsque j’ai vu les toutes premières fleurs, je savais que j’irai au Jardin Botanique. Je suis complètement sous le charme de cet arbre… L’hiver n’est pas encore fini et il y a déjà tant de fleurs. Tant de couleur et de forme; Cela pousse de partout ! Et ne me demandez pas de les nommer -excepté le magnolia et le rhododendron- je n’en ai aucune idée…

You may not know their name, but you surely know how to photograph them. I don’t know what the small purple one is - a New Zealand native, maybe? The white ones are snow drops (perce-neige, bien nommes, n’est ce pas?). The ones below it are - on the left - heather (bruyere) and on the right Lenten Rose also know as Hellebore (hellebore en francais avec un accent aigu sur le 2e “e” que je suis incapable de faire avec mon clavier americain). Tu savais que je pouvais pas resister a la tentation de les nommees, hein? Retourne au jardin botanique, s’il te plait pour nous donner un apercu magnifique du printemps de jardinier. Que de belles photos, ça me rappelle la nature ici il y a quelques mois, la joie de voir l’hiver laisser sa place au printemps, l’éclosion des perce-neige, primevères, puis des lilas, magnolias, etc. C’est toujours la même émotion ;) Botacook
