Paprika and I were relieved that we didn’t go for camping on New Year’s eve as I initially suggested.
The last day of 2011 was nothing but rain here.

Instead we kept everything simple and indoor. Dancing, chatting and eating to celebrate the transition of a year to another.
And I can’t believe we are starting our fifth year here in New Zealand !

I appreciate this time of year that encourages us to look back and also to look forward, setting goals, making resolutions or simply having hope in the future…

Just like summer and this hamper, I wish you all a year of ‘Plenty and Good‘ !

The count down to Christmas has officially started. And here, we have kicked off the festive season with a beautiful Summer day -the very first one.
Back in october, you may remember I made allusion to projects I was eager to share with you. Today, I’m happy to tell them to you.

I’ve contributed to New Zealand magazine Taste. Currently on sale, the latest issue includes a Christmas table I’ve styled and photographed. For local readers, hope you’ll enjoy what you see and read !

And I’ve also been working for months on the making of an online portfolio, now launched. Please have a look.

I would like to thank my dear Paprika for his invaluable work to make the website alive; my sister Sandrine for her constant support; Vanya Insull, Art director of Taste magazine, for her trust; and last but not least, You who have given me strength and faith with your good vibe and feedbacks. Thank you.

It was last Saturday.
We all gathered at the Tasting Shed, in north-west Auckland, for the very first Food Blogger conference in New Zealand.
It was a great day. It was an opportunity to see again bloggers not meet for a while and be introduced to others for the first time.
Thanks to Alli who organised everything and gave us the chance to share and exchange around a common interest.
Andrea presented guidelines on web design, Jaco spoke about social media, Alessandra talked about writing -peppered with anecdotes of her own experience- Emma gave a behind-the-scene insight of her communal blog, Louise introduced us to tasty seaweeds and Bron shared the principles and her tips about food photography.

I came back home on Saturday night tired, but all happy with the day. And I’m already looking forward to the next time.

You can read and see more about the conference here, here and here

And a special thanks to Mairi for her hospitality.
